Alice collects the information you provide when creating an account (email address, password, last name), your household profile (family size, dietary restrictions, food preferences), and data generated through your use of the service (meal plans, grocery lists, ratings, pantry items). We also store authentication tokens for any grocery store accounts you connect.
Your information is used solely to operate Alice — generating meal plans, building grocery lists, filling your cart, and sending notifications you've opted into. We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or share it with third parties except as necessary to run the service (Anthropic for AI generation, Railway for hosting, Resend for email delivery).
Your data is stored on Railway's infrastructure. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. Store credentials are kept server-side and never exposed to the browser. We take reasonable steps to protect your data but cannot guarantee absolute security.
If you opt in at signup, Alice sends plan-ready notifications and occasional reminders. Every email includes a one-click unsubscribe link. Password reset and security emails are sent regardless of opt-in status.
You may update your household profile at any time in Settings. To delete your account and all associated data, use the Settings page.
We may update this policy as Alice evolves. Material changes will be communicated via email (if opted in). Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance.
